Although it is felt less in the capital, the winter has settled in the districts outside Dhaka. Yesterday Thursday, the lowest temperature in the country was 9.6 degrees Celsius at Tentulia in Panchagarh. The minimum temperature in the district was 9.6 degrees Celsius at 9 am on Friday. The weather forecast at 9 am on Friday said that night and day temperatures may rise across the country.

The temperature in Bhola, Chuadanga, Barisal and Jessore was close to 12 degrees Celsius on Thursday. The Meteorological Department says that the weather will remain dry in the whole country even though the sky will be partly cloudy. Light to moderate fog may occur in some parts of the country’s river basins from late night to morning.

Apart from this, at the end of this month, a cold wave may flow across the country including Dhaka.

Russel Shah, officer-in-charge of Meteorological Department of the first class of the district, said that the temperature of 10 to 9 degrees has been recorded for 6 days this week. On another day, the temperature was recorded at 10.1 degrees Celsius. Mild cold current is flowing in this district throughout the week.

Meanwhile, the temperature has dropped but there is no fog. Konkan felt chilly overnight due to chilly winds since afternoon.

Locals say that even though the sun is visible in the morning, it is bitterly cold from 9 am to 10 am. After evening, the degree of cold increases. As the night increases, so does the winter.

Ignoring the bone-chilling winter, various low-income professionals from laborers, van drivers, day laborers can be seen going to work in pursuit of livelihood.
