Stating that the Trinamool BNP will continue politics, the party’s general secretary Advocate Taimur Alam Khandkar said that they will not go for arranged elections. He said this to reporters after complaining about the attack on the house of his election workers at the Narayanganj District Police Superintendent’s office on Wednesday afternoon.
Advocate Timur Alam Khandkar said, ‘The election is government versus government. The country is moving towards one-party rule. Trinamool BNP will do politics. We will not go for arranged elections.’
Taimur said that all the candidates nominated by Trinamool BNP in the 12th National Assembly elections will come to Dhaka and said, ‘A report will be given to the Prime Minister after talking to them.’
Secretary General of Trinamool BNP said, ‘fair politics in the country is not possible for us. The next generation will not be able to. The third generation may be able to. If the government leaves power, I will go to jail. That is why they rig the election. The Election Commission has no power. Administration is also subordinate to the government. Heard the statement of the CEC secretary, he said the message has gone to the DCs. The result will be according to that.’
Taimur Alam said, ‘We were always on the streets. The rest of my life I have to live on the streets. When I saw in front of my eyes this barrister Sumon (Syed Sayedul Haque Sumon who won independent election in Habiganj-4 seat) said government vs government election. It is their word.’
Talking about the electoral experience of Narayanganj-1 (Rupganj) constituency, Taimur Alam Khandkar said, ‘Two terrorist forces of Rupganj are Shamser dakat and Rita member. We have repeatedly told the Election Commission and the administration. We have the documents. We have said that the accused in such series of cases should be brought under the law. But we have not found any remedy. Samshar Bahini and Rita Bahini ransacked the houses of my workers after the declaration of results in Chanpara on election day. I have come to SP office with this family today. As they have suffered in electing me. The SP assured that they will be able to live in Chanpara without any problems. He also gave instructions to the OC over phone.
