Sherpur-1 (Sadar) Member of Parliament and District Awami League General Secretary Md. urged the Superintendent of Police not to exempt anyone who commits terrorist acts to keep the environment calm in the district. Chanuar Hossain Chanu.

He said, ‘After the election, I have made it clear to the leaders and activists that those who were our opponents should be taken as brothers. I will not lobby. Mastani’s days are over. People elected me instead of voting for the previous MP hoping for a change. If I can not change then what will happen from this position?’

Sherpur-3 Constituency MP ADM Shahidul Islam said, ‘Due to the impartiality of the administration, beautiful elections have been possible in Sherpur district. He appreciated the sincere role of the police in maintaining a peaceful post-election environment.’

Superintendent of Police Monalisa Begum said in the president’s speech, ‘It would have been difficult to keep the post-election situation calm if the newly-elected MPs did not cooperate. He wishes for sincere cooperation in the future as well.’
