Habiganj-4 Constituency independent candidate Barrister Saidul Haque Sumon has given a written response to the complaint of using the photo of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in the handbill. Suman responded to the letter through his personal assistant Rubel Mia to the Election Inquiry Committee today at 12 noon.
In a written reply, Suman accused his rival Awami League candidate and Minister of State for Civil Aviation and Tourism Mahbub Ali and his activist supporters of conspiring to keep him away from the election. At the same time, he said that he was not aware of this.
In a written reply, Barrister Suman said, ‘My popularity and social and humanitarian activities are supported by most of the people of the country, including the people of Chunarughat-Madhavpur. Seeing all this, the boat’s candidates and supporters are jealous and are continuing various kinds of propaganda against me.’
On December 27, a supporter of the boat in Habiganj-4 Constituency, Abdul Hai, wrote a complaint to the District Returning Officer that Sayedul Haque Sumon is using the picture of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in the handbill of the parliamentary elections. After that, the Election Investigation Committee mourned Suman.
