  • Lyutyj was first filmed in action last week during a raid on the Kuibyshev oil processing plant in Samara, which lies about a thousand kilometers from the Ukrainian border.
  • Drones have hit at least nine plants in recent weeks and cut Russia’s oil processing capacity by 14 percent.
  • The main advantage of the new drone is high accuracy. During attacks, it can hit distillation towers, which represent the most sensitive place of refineries.

Russia has lost up to fourteen percent of its oil processing capacity due to Ukrainian strikes on refineries. In connection with the attacks, more and more people are writing about the new kamikaze drone Ljutyj, which can hit the target with extraordinary accuracy.

The first images of the long-range drone surfaced on social media last week when Russians found its wreckage near Yaroslavl. According to Russian media, the warhead of the drone carried fifty kilograms of explosives.
