The United States is interested in working with the new government of Bangladesh, said US Ambassador to Dhaka Peter Haas.
He said this after a meeting with Forest and Environment Minister Saber Hossain Chowdhury at the Secretariat on Sunday morning.
Peter Haas said that the 12th National Parliament election was not fair and fair. Still, the US is keen to work with the new government. Both countries are keen to jointly work on environmental pollution.
The Forest and Environment Minister said that Bangladesh’s friendship with the United States is very deep. Even though the two countries have different views, there was a discussion on how to improve mutual relations.
The 12th National Parliament election was held on January 7. In this, Awami League won 223 seats out of 299 seats. Awami League formed a new government.
