The US administration is under pressure one after another on the Israel-Hamas conflict issue. Especially the pressure on US President Joe Biden is a bit high. This time, the country’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) officials increased the pressure. They have already given a letter to the minister of this department. It expressed anger at the ‘one-eyed’ policy of the administration.

Al-Jazeera, a Qatar-based media outlet, says that more than a hundred officials signed the open letter sent to Alejandro Mayorkas, the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) minister on November 22. However, many did not mention their names for fear of losing their jobs.

It is said in the letter that Israel has been attacking Gaza since October 7. More than 18,000 Palestinians have been killed so far. A humanitarian disaster has begun in Gaza. The condition of the West Bank is not good either. The Department of Homeland Security has nothing to say about this. There is no condemnation. They are blinded. In this regard, the administration is following a ‘one-eyed’ policy.

The 139 signatories to the letter include officials from the Department of Homeland Security and its affiliates Customs and Protection (CBP), the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).

However, no high-ranking official of the Department of Homeland Security was available for comment.

Earlier last month, 500 officials from 40 US government agencies sent a letter to President Biden to support a ceasefire in Gaza. Apart from this, about 1000 officials also sent a letter from USAID. But Biden never walked this path.

Meanwhile, the House of Representatives of the US Congress has officially approved the impeachment inquiry against Joe Biden. Local time, the Republican-controlled House of Representatives passed the resolution on Wednesday. This information was reported in the report of the news agency Reuters.

It said 221 votes were cast in favor of the motion to authorize an impeachment inquiry against Biden. On the other hand, 212 votes were cast against this proposal.

Basically, the US House of Representatives will investigate whether President Joe Biden took unfair advantage of his 53-year-old son Hunter Biden’s foreign business. However, the Republicans have not found any evidence of wrongdoing against this Democrat leader.

The White House dismissed the allegations against Biden as baseless and politically motivated.
