Lakshmipur for not buying the goods from the Union Parishad member (member) shop. An old man named Bellal Hossain Patwari (65) has been accused of being beaten and thrown into the canal. The incident took place at a place called Daroga Go Pool in Keroa Union of Raipur Upazila of Laxmipur at around 10:30 am on Monday.

Accused Md. Arifur Rahman is a member of Ward number 6 of Keroa Union. He has a rod, cement, brick, sand and furniture shop at Jor Pole in Keroa Union.

In this regard, Bellal Hossain said, ‘Arif member was pressuring me for a few days to buy rods, cement, bricks and sand for the construction of my nephew’s building. For not buying goods from his shop, he found me on the spot and beat me up and threw me into the canal beside the road. Due to this I am physically and mentally ill and am being treated in the hospital. I have filed a written complaint at the police station. He has done this with many before. He was also arrested in connection with women torture and robbery. I want a fair trial.’

However, UP member Arifur Rahman denied buying the goods of the shop and said, “Even though Bellal Hossain was asked to go to vote in the last parliamentary elections, he did not go.” Even today, he has been slapped and slapped for talking nonsense about the Awami League and the government. After being hit, he fell into the canal. It is not correct to buy goods in shops.’

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Raipur Police Station. Yachin Farooq Majumder said, ‘Bellal Hossain’s written complaint has been received. Legal action is being taken after verifying the matter.’
