Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan has commented that profiteers are more dangerous than extortionists. He said that law and order forces are working with the supervisory agency to suppress those who are buying products at low prices and selling them at three times the price. Apart from this, the Home Minister also said that there was no information about sabotage in the recent fire incidents.

The Home Minister said these things to the journalists after the inauguration of the first batch of the Post Graduate Diploma in Cyber Security Course at the Police Staff College in Mirpur on Saturday. The Inspector General of Police joined the Home Minister.

Later, the minister told reporters that a special police team is in the field to stop extortion on the roads during Eid. However, he thinks market syndicates are more dangerous than extortionists.

Asaduzzaman Khan said, ‘What is being sold at 20 taka in the caravan market, after a short distance, it becomes 40 taka. Market syndicates are more dangerous than extortionists. This thing has more effect than extortion. Special police are taking measures regarding extortion.

At this time, the minister also talked about the recent fire incident. He said, there was no evidence of sabotage. However, he urged to be more careful to prevent fire accidents.

Home Minister said, ‘We are looking into everything. So far we have no such proof that it is sabotage. All we see is happening suddenly.’
