In Natore’s Baraigram, two villagers clashed over a volleyball game. At least five people from both sides were injured in the clash. The injured were treated locally.
The incident took place in Coin Bazaar area of the upazila around 1 pm on Monday. After receiving the information, the police went to the spot and normalized the situation.
Baraigram Circle Additional Superintendent of Police Sharif Al Rajib said that there was an argument between the people of Coin Bazar and Dhanaidah Bazar area of the upazila over the volleyball game. At one point both sides got excited and started throwing sticks and bricks.
Sharif Al Rajib said that at least five people were injured. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and brought the situation under control. First aid was given to the injured locally. At present the situation in the area is calm. The matter will be settled by the public representatives of the two areas.
