Two of the Tejgaon train arsonists belong to the opposition: RAB

RAB-3 captain Lt. Col. Arif Mohiuddin Ahmed said that the names and photographs of 4 to 5 suspects have been found in the Mohanganj Express train fire incident at Tejgaon in the capital. He said that they have been kept under surveillance.

This information was given by this RAB official at the press conference of RAB-3 at the VIP gate of Kamalapur railway station in the capital on Thursday afternoon.

Arif Mohiuddin Ahmed said that two of the arsonists belong to the opposition party. The other two are floating. RAB believes that the fire was started with floats.

Mohiuddin Ahmed also said that the accused are under surveillance. He said that they will be brought under the law within two days.

According to RAB, information about the suspects has been collected based on the information of eyewitnesses and related sources. According to preliminary information, they boarded a train from the airport or a nearby station and got down at Tejgaon area.

Mohiuddin Ahmed said intelligence surveillance with dog-squad has been increased in all stations including Kamalapur. Each train will be scanned before departure.

The RAB official also warned that strict measures will be taken if anyone tries to sabotage.

A fire incident occurred in the Mohanganj Express train at Tezgaon in the capital last Tuesday morning. Fire service personnel recovered four bodies from a train compartment.
