Former US President Donald Trump was arrested in August this year on charges of meddling in the 2020 US presidential election. He was later shown formally arrested at the Fulton County Jail in Georgia and his mugshot was released. Trump is raising funds for the election by selling pieces of the court cloth worn in that mugshot that day.

Trump posted a video on Truth Social, a social media platform created by the Trump Media and Technology Group. There, he said, if someone buys 47 digital trading cards for $99, that person will get a piece of that court cloth.

“It was a great suit, believe me, a really good suit,” Trump said in the video message. It’s all cut. You can have a piece.’

‘Due to the success of selling my previous digital trading cards, we are selling them again. Now is The Mugshot Edition. You buy 47 cards and get a piece of the suit I wore in the mugshot. Plus get invited to a gala dinner with me at Mar-a-Lago! rejoice Christmas and Happy New Year!’

US media CNBC reports that Donald Trump is the first US president whose mugshot was published.

Trump has been arrested four times in criminal cases this year. But each time he was released on bail.
