Traffic control on the roads on Martyr Intellectuals Day

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has issued traffic instructions in the capital on the occasion of Martyr Intellectuals Day on December 14. This instruction was given focusing on the visit of State and Government Very Important Persons (VVIP) to the Mirpur Martyr Intellectual Memorial on that day.

According to DMP’s news portal sources, all types of traffic will be closed from Mirpur Mazar road crossing to Mirpur 1 crossing from 4 am to 9:30 am on Thursday.

On Martyr Intellectuals Day, President, Prime Minister, Speaker of National Parliament, Chief Justice, Cabinet members, Members of Parliament, Diplomats of foreign countries and high-ranking government officials along with leaders of various organizations will visit the Mirpur Martyr Intellectuals Memorial. Therefore, in order to control the smooth movement of vehicles in that area, buses, trucks, human haulers, three wheelers, rickshaw-vans, etc. are requested to avoid Mirpur Mazar Road (from Mazar Road Crossing to Mirpur No. 1 Crossing) and move on alternative roads from 4 am to 9:30 am. done

Alternative road
Vehicles coming from Ashulia to Mirpur through the embankment will take a left turn from Nawaberbagh crossing and use Shahali Thana Road.

Vehicles passing through Mazar Road crossing adjacent to Shah Ali Mazar will use Darussalam Road to the left from the technical junction.

The vehicles which will go towards Gabtali from Mirpur-10 through Mazar Road, those vehicles will take left from Mirpur-1 using Darussalam Road through technical junction.

During the said event, DMP has requested the respected citizens to move their vehicles on alternative roads as directed by the police. In this regard, Dhaka Metropolitan Police has sought the full cooperation of city residents, vehicle owners and workers.
