The second non-stop intercity train Tourist Express on the Dhaka-Cox’s Bazar route has been launched. The train will start its first journey from Kamalapur railway station at 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday. It will reach Cox’s Bazar at 3:00 p.m.
785 passengers are going from Dhaka to Cox’s Bazar in this new train. Before this, a short ceremony was organized at the station at 5:30 am. Senior railway officials were present in it.
Railways said, keeping in mind the passenger demand, this new train will run regularly. It has 16 coaches. The non-stop tourist express will stop directly at Chittagong station after halting at Dhaka and Airport stations. Then it will go to Cox’s Bazar station.
There are two compartments designated for Chittagong passengers. The train will leave Cox’s Bazar at 8 pm and reach Dhaka at 4:30 am.
