The Civil Guard of Seville has arrested three people, linking them to alleged crimes of attempted homicide, arson and damages and document falsificationgiven its alleged relationship with an intentional fire caused in a home in Gines inhabited by an elderly woman.

The events date back to April 26, 2022, upon receiving a phone call from the Cicil Guard alerting of a fire inside a home in Gines. Civil Guard agents, together with firefighters, went to the scene of the fire, where they proceeded to force the door of the burned home to gain access to its interior.

Inside the house, the officers located an elderly person, a nonagenarian, who had to be rescued in serious condition due to smoke inhalation and taken to the hospital, remaining hospitalized for a week.

During the clarification of the events, the agents obtained images from the same day they occurred, which reflected individuals approaching the window of a home, carrying an unidentified object in their hands.

The images showed these people leaving the place, where moments later the fire started. Therefore, once these images were viewed, the Fire Team of the Civil Guard Zone in Andalusia proceeded to travel to the burned home, to carry out a visual technical inspection of it.

As a result of the investigation, the agents managed to clarify the facts, managing to identify one of the people who caused the fire, this being a worker from a pub in Gines who had been reported by the old woman for noise, as well as the other two people. linked to the fire, one of them being linked by falsifying documents regarding the vehicle used in the commission of the crimes.
