Talking to the officials at various levels of the government, it is said that one more full minister, four state ministers and three deputy ministers may be added to the cabinet.

Those who have been called to take oath are Nahid Izahar Khan, the reserved women parliamentarian of Dhaka, Rokeya Sultana of Jaipurhat, Shamsun Nahar Chapa of Tangail, Wasika Ayesha Khan of Chittagong and Rajshahi-5 Constituency Member of Parliament Abdul Wadud, Chittagong-14 Constituency Member of Parliament Md. Nazrul Islam Chowdhury and Member of Parliament for Naogaon-2 Shahiduzzaman Sarkar.

Cabinet members will be allotted office after taking oath.

The new cabinet was sworn in on January 11 after the 12th National Assembly elections. The number of members of this cabinet including Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is 37. Out of which there are 25 full ministers and 11 state ministers.

Awami League sources say that apart from the two ministries that do not have ministers or state ministers, state ministers can be appointed in the ministries of finance, health, planning, local government and education.

Sources say that the members selected from the seats reserved for women in the Ministry of Labor and Work Resources, Culture and Finance may be made Ministers of State or Ministers.
