Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said these things in a speech given at an exchange meeting with upazila Awami League leaders and activists at the Kotalipara Upazila Parishad square of Gopalganj on Sunday afternoon.

Referring to the state of emergency in the country due to the bad governance of BNP, the Prime Minister said that the voters and the people of the country have thwarted the efforts of BNP to thwart the elections. The election of the 12th national parliament is a victory for democracy. He also commented that this victory is the victory of the people of Bangladesh.
Sheikh Hasina said that the military dictators have seized the power and played with the voting rights of the people. Awami League has returned the right to vote to the people.
The head of the government said, ‘those who killed people with fire, along with those who gave orders, will be prosecuted. So that such atrocities do not happen again in the future.’
