Annually, 10 to 40 million people in the world are infected with dengue disease, which is transmitted by the Aedes mosquito. Scientists believe that dengue has increased due to climate change. Dengue infections are expected to increase by 36 percent by 2100 if global temperatures rise by two degrees Celsius.
