The people of the world welcomed the Christian New Year 2024 in a festive atmosphere. The Pacific island nation of Kiribati was the first to celebrate the New Year. Spectacular fireworks are organized in New Zealand, Australia, Japan, North and South Korea. At the beginning of the year, Sydney’s Opera House and Harbor Bridge start with fireworks.

People are welcoming the year 2024 with the hope of peace and not conflict.

At 12 o’clock local time, colorful lights and fireworks were launched from the Sky Tower, which is more than 1,000 feet high, in the center of Auckland city.

According to the British media BBC, 8 tons of fireworks were set off in Sydney on the occasion of the new year. Shortly after that, the people of Brisbane welcomed the new year.

Japan, North and South Korea welcomed the New Year. According to Japanese authorities, about 1.1 million 18-year-olds welcomed the New Year this year.
