Railway Minister Nurul Islam has assured that trains will be run with proper security. He gave this assurance in a press conference at Railway Bhawan on Tuesday morning.
At that time, the railway minister said that a five-member investigation committee has been formed in the incident of setting fire to a train in Tejgaon of the capital. He said that the inquiry committee will report within the next five days.
The railway minister also said that those who are giving political programs are trying to create suffering in public life by targeting railways for terrorist activities.
Stating that various steps have been taken to keep the railway safe, the minister said, two thousand seven hundred Ansars have been requested to be deployed for the security of the railway. He said that a decision will be taken in a couple of days.
The railway minister also commented that it would be difficult to prevent violence if a passenger boarded the train. He said that the amount of damage caused by rail vandalism is being calculated.
