Buyers complain that rice is being sold at higher prices than before.

Meanwhile, even in the full season, the price of winter vegetables is high in most markets of the capital. The prices of many vegetables have increased by up to Tk 10 per kg within a week.

Each cauliflower, cabbage has to be bought for 40 to 50 taka. Besides, 60 taka per kg of tomatoes. Eggplant is being sold at Tk 70 per kg.

Prices of chickpeas, pulses and dates go up before Ramadan. The sugar crisis is still not over, say the sellers.

Besides, the price of farm chicken eggs has also increased. A dozen is being sold at Rs 135 with an increase of Rs 5. Meanwhile, the price of meat is also increased. Beef is being sold at Tk 700 per kg.
