The ruling Awami League is going to form the government for the fourth time in a row after winning the 12th National Parliament election. And this year’s new soccer cabinet will be sworn in next Thursday.
This information was revealed by the Cabinet Department on Tuesday afternoon.
Cabinet Secretary Mahbub Hossain said that preparations are being made for the swearing-in of the new cabinet at Bangabhaban on Thursday at 7 pm.
Before this, the swearing-in of the newly-elected parliamentarians in the 12th national parliament election will be held on Wednesday. Speaker of the 11th Jatiya Sangsad Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury will read the oath of the new MPs in the swearing-in chamber of the Jatiya Sangsad at 10 am.
Awami League office secretary Biplab Barua gave this information to reporters in Ganabhaban in the morning. Sangsad Bhavan is currently preparing to welcome the members of Parliament for the 12th National Parliament Election.
It should be noted that on January 7, voting was held in 298 seats of the 12th parliamentary elections. Out of these, Awami League won 222 seats, Jatiya Party won 11 seats and independent candidates won 62 seats. Awami League’s partner party Workers Party and Jasad won one seat each. Besides, Bangladesh Kalyan Party won one seat.
