Yemen’s Houthi rebels have been attacking commercial ships linked to Israel in the Red Sea for the past two months. America could not disarm them despite counterattacking. In the meantime, the Houthi rebels have announced a military operation against the US warships in the Gulf of Aden and the Bab el-Mandeb Strait.

The Russian news agency TASS reported this information in a report. According to the Tass report, the military spokesman of the Houthi rebels, Yahya Saria, announced the operation against the US forces last Wednesday on the messaging app Telegram. He said the Houthis clashed several times with US warships in the Gulf of Aden and the Bab el-Mandeb Strait on Wednesday. This time we were able to direct a US warship. Two US merchant ships were forced to retreat.

Iran-backed Houthis have carried out a series of attacks on commercial ships bound for Israel in the Red Sea in support of Hamas since the war between Israel and the Gaza pro-independence group Hamas began on October 7. America has already formed a military naval alliance with several countries to prevent their attacks. However, the attack of the Houthis cannot be stopped. America and Britain have imposed sanctions against four important leaders of the Houthis on Thursday.

Meanwhile, China has asked Iran to intervene to control Houthi attacks in the Red Sea as the cost of commercial ships has increased as a result of Houthi attacks on ships in the Red Sea. Chinese officials have even warned that business relations between Beijing and Tehran will deteriorate if Houthi attacks are not controlled.

Reuters reported that Chinese officials did not make any specific comments on how Beijing’s trade relations with Iran could be affected if Beijing’s interests were damaged by the Houthi attack.
