The President has called the first session of the twelfth Parliament on January 30. Sahabuddin. This information has been confirmed in a circular of the Legislative Support Wing of the Parliament.

The notification signed by KM Abdus Salam, Senior Secretary of the Parliament Secretariat informed that the session will start at 3 pm on January 30.

The 12th National Parliament election was held on January 7. Awami League formed the government for the fourth consecutive time by getting 222 seats. Independent candidates get 62 seats in the election. Jatiya Party won 11 seats. And Walkers Party, Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSAD) and Bangladesh Kalyan Party won one seat each.

On January 11, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina took oath as the Prime Minister for the fourth consecutive time and for the fifth time in total. The new cabinet members were also sworn in on the same day. 36 Ministers-State Ministers of the new Cabinet have already taken charge of their Ministries and Departments.
