He gave this instruction in an exchange meeting with officials including the chairman of NTRCA at the office of Private Teacher Registration and Certification Authority (NTRCA) at Borak Tower in Iskaton of the capital today.
At that time, the education minister said, ‘If anyone needs to be empowered, including the professional development and training of teachers, NTRCA should do it.’
He emphasized on increasing the capacity of NTRC by coordinating with all the concerned parties including Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education, all education boards of the country, National Curriculum and Textbook Board.
He urged the NTRCA to recommend if there is a need to amend the MPO policy to speed up the recruitment of teachers.
Chairman of NTRCA Md. Saifullahil Azam and officials of NTRCA were present.
There is more or less shortage of teachers in public and private colleges and secondary schools across the country. As a result, studies are being disrupted in educational institutions. In the meantime, emphasis has been given on hands-on education in the new curriculum launched from this year.
