Dhaka International Fair starts every year at the very beginning of January, but this time it has been postponed due to the 12th National Assembly elections. Final preparations for the fair are underway at the Bangabandhu Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Center in Purbachal. The trade fair is being held three times in this exhibition center.
Although late, the 28th Dhaka International Trade Fair is coming up tomorrow, Sunday. Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the fair.
This time the main gate of the fair is being decorated in the pattern of Rooppur Nuclear Power Station and Padma Bridge.
Bangladesh Export Development Bureau (EPB) Director General Mahbubur Rahman said that this year’s fair will have a total of 330 stalls, pavilions and mini pavilions from home and abroad. Among them there are 15-18 foreign stalls.
This time the ticket price for children is Tk 25, for adults Tk 50. There will be a special bus service from Kuril for the convenience of the visitors.
This trade fair is the largest product exhibition in the country. In addition to domestic products, every year products from different countries such as India, Pakistan, Thailand, Turkey, Malaysia, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Nepal are displayed in this fair.
Before this trade fair was held in Sher Bangla Nagar of the capital.
