Ever since the release of the trailer, there has been a lot of buzz about ‘Dunky’. Many bet on Shah Rukh Khan and Rajkumar Hirani. But within a day, Ganesh turned over! After ‘Baahubali’, Prabhas, who was plagued by consecutive flops, returned as Swarup at the end of the year. The southern star’s ‘Salar: Part One Ceasefire’ has already overtaken Shahrukh’s ‘Dunky’ in advance ticket bookings. This time, Prabhas blew up Shah Rukh’s picture in the first day collection as well.

On the first day of release (December 21), the collection of ‘Dunky’ in India is only 30 crore rupees. And the amount of money at the international box office is 58 crores. Meanwhile, the collection of ‘Saalar’ stood at 95 crores at the Indian box office itself. According to Times of India report, Prabhas’ film grossed 175 crores at the global box office.

‘Saaler’ is going to be the biggest opener of this year with first day earnings. Meanwhile, ‘Baahubali’ Prabhas has snatched the crown from ‘Jawan’ Shah Rukh. So far, ‘Jawwan’ was on top with a business of 65 crores at the country’s box office on the first day. The top five movies in this list are – Salar-Part One (95 crore), Jawaan (65 crore), Animal (60 crore), Pathan (57 crore) and Danki (30 crore).

On the advance booking front, ‘Saalar’ has already collected around Rs 12 crore on Saturday. Initial reports say that Prabhas will be stuck with only 20 crores on the second day.

All in all, the frenzy among Prabhas-fans over ‘Saalar’ is at its peak. The show of the film starts from Thursday midnight (12:21 PM). Demand for tickets is huge. Along with Prabhas, it stars Prithviraj Sukumaran and Shruti Haasan in lead roles. Apart from this, there are Tinu Anand, Shriya Reddy and others. Directed by ‘KGF’ maker Prashant Neel.
