The body of BGB member Mohammad Raishuddin, who was killed in BSF firing at Benapole border in Jessore, has reached his village home in Chapaibabganj. His body arrived on Wednesday afternoon.
59 BGB captain Lt. confirmed the matter. Colonel Golam Kibria said that a helicopter landed at Shibganj Upazila Stadium with Raishuddin’s body around 4 pm. Later, the body was taken in an ambulance to his house in Sahapara of Manaksha Union of the upazila.
Meanwhile, according to family sources, he will be buried after the funeral prayers in the evening.
Earlier on Tuesday, a member of BGB was killed in BSF firing at Jessore border in Bangladesh. BSF returned Raishuddin’s body through the Gangulyapara border in India on Wednesday morning. Later the body was taken to Jessore battalion headquarters. After the necessary formalities, his body was sent to his village home.
