Police recovered the body of an unidentified man (40) from Suhrawardy Udyan in Shahbagh of the capital. When he was taken to Dhaka Medical College (DMH) hospital in an unconscious state around 12:15 noon on Saturday, the doctor in charge of the emergency department declared him dead after the examination.
According to the police, the person was lying unconscious under a palm tree inside the park. Later, when he was quickly rescued and taken to the hospital, the doctor of the emergency department said that he was no longer alive.
Confirming the matter, Sub-Inspector (SI) of Shahbagh Police Station Khalek Mia said, ‘Initially we could not find out the identity of the person after asking the people around. Therefore, with the help of technology, efforts are being made to know his name-identity.
SI said, ‘The body has been kept at Dhaka Medical College morgue for post-mortem. Legal process is ongoing in this regard.’
