The BNP has also called a morning-evening blockade on December 24 amid the all-out non-cooperation movement aimed at bringing down the government. BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi announced this program in a virtual press conference on Wednesday.
He said that his party will hold a mass meeting on December 21, 22, 23 in favor of the one-sided demand of boycotting the elections and the non-cooperation movement. Sunday, December 24, morning-evening blockade program will be held.
Rizvi said, our one point is the resignation of the Sheikh Hasina government and the re-establishment of a non-partisan-neutral caretaker government system during the elections, the demand for free-fair, credible, participatory elections and our ongoing movement against corruption. In view of this movement, mass communication will be held on Thursday, Friday and Saturday in favor of election boycott and non-cooperation movement.
Earlier in another virtual press conference at noon, Ruhul Kabir Rizvi urged the people to boycott the 12th National Assembly elections and to carry out the program of non-cooperation with the government.
