The big surprise of this election is the victory of Kalyan Party Chairman Syed Mohammad Ibrahim. No other party of the King’s Party fame had any victory. Although the Trinamool BNP, Bangladesh Nationalist Movement BNM, Bangladesh Supreme Party and Kalyan Party were in discussion since the beginning of the election.

Several new parties participated in the 12th National Assembly elections. Who are better known as King’s Party. Among the parties, Kalyan Party Chairman Syed Mohammad Ibrahim was nominated from Cox’s Bazar-1 seat. He defeated Zafar Alam, an independent candidate of the watch symbol, by a huge margin.

Former BNP leader Taimur Alam Khandkar has voted from the new party Trinamool BNP in Narayanganj-1 seat with golden scale symbol. The boat’s candidate Golam Dastgir did not pay attention to Gazi, even though he sounded the fierce competition.

Another heavyweight of the Trinamool BNP is Shamser Mubin Chowdhury, the foreign secretary during the BNP-Jamaat coalition government. He also lost to Awami League candidate Nurul Islam Nahid by 16,000 votes.
