The bomb disposal unit of Ghatail Cantonment’s 19 Infantry Division defused the mortar shell found abandoned on the side of the Jamalpur-Tangail highway. At that time, security cordon was made by the army, RAB, police and law enforcement forces in a two kilometer area.

The mortar shell was detonated at a distance of 50 meters from the recovered site in Sadar’s Kojgarh around 11 am today.

This operation was conducted under the leadership of Brigadier General Ashraful Quader of 19 Infantry Division of Ghatail Cantonment. Captain Mohtasim worked to defuse the bomb.
