A man named Daud Khan (50) was hacked to death by miscreants in Shariatpur’s Jazira. Padma Setu South Police Station has arrested one person in this incident.

The incident took place in Ali Munsi Kandi area of ​​Mesher upazila around 12 o’clock on Friday. Daud Khan is the son of deceased Ismail Khan of the same area.

According to the police and local sources, Dawood Khan was accused number 3 in the murder case of brave freedom fighter Nurul Islam in Mecher Ali Munsi Kandi area, which took place 5 years ago. He was returning home from the market on Friday night. At that time, when he reached the door of his house, 4 to 5 unidentified people who were already there, stabbed him severely on his face, head and different parts of his body with sharp weapons.

After seeing the body on Saturday morning, the locals informed the police. Later, the police came and recovered the body and sent it to Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy. In this incident, police station arrested a person named Muzammel Madbar (45) from the same area.

Chairman of Naodoba Union Parishad in this regard. Alamgir Hossain said, ‘It is not known who or who did such a heinous incident in the dark of night. I heard about this in the morning.’

Deputy Inspector (SI) of Padma South Police Station Yakub Ali said, ‘On receiving the news, I recovered the body of Dawood Khan from the spot and sent it to Sadar Hospital morgue for post-mortem. His family members live in the police station. I could not find out why Daud Khan was killed. However, a suspect has been arrested and taken into police custody.
