That’s why Google removed 10 apps from Play Store

Google removed 10 more apps from Play Store. Indian media NDTV says that these apps are made by Indian developers. India’s Minister of Technology Ashwini Vaishnav has called a special meeting on Monday. Google representatives have been requested to attend. There will also be representatives of the company that owns the app.

Google said the Indian apps were removed from the Play Store last Friday due to non-payment of service payments. The American IT company has removed a total of 10 apps from there. Indian startup companies are vocal against Google.

However, Google claims that the payment helps build a supportive environment for its Android system and the Play Store. But many established organizations benefited from that platform or platform but did not pay.

According to Google, more than 200,000 Indian developers are currently associated with the Play Store. They all follow the policy. Adherence to this policy is required to ensure a secure platform. But despite giving extra time, 10 companies have not paid any dues to Play Store.

These developers were given more than three years, Google said. That is why they have taken such a decision.

Although the names of the removed apps were not disclosed, among them Nakri, Shaadi, Matrimony.com, Bharat Matrimony, audio app Kuku FM and two dating apps, another media outlet Anandbazar Patrika said in a report.

Earlier, the Commission had ordered to cancel Google’s 15%-30% payment structure. But Google got the consent of two courts including the Supreme Court to impose a penalty in this case and to remove the app if it is not paid. But after they levied 11%-26% tax, some Indian startups tried to stop it. They claim that Google is forcing companies to follow their own methods of paying for app usage due to monopoly.

India’s technology affairs minister Ashwini Vaishnab said, ‘I hope Google will think more about this. Our startup system is long standing. Their offer can be accepted. In the meantime I have informed Google.’
