The temperature in Panchagarh has dropped further. The season’s minimum temperature was recorded at 5.5 degrees Celsius earlier in the morning, but it has now dropped to 5 degrees Celsius. People’s life has been disturbed by fog and cold air.
The Tetulia Meteorological Office has recorded the minimum temperature of 5.5 degrees Celsius at 6 o’clock in the morning on Sunday. Then at 9 am the temperature dropped to 5 degrees Celsius. Russell Shah, Officer-in-Charge of Tentulia Meteorological Office confirmed this information.
Russell Shah said, this is the lowest temperature in the country so far this winter. The minimum temperature in the district was fluctuating between 7 and 10 since last Monday.
Meanwhile, due to the fog, vehicles were seen moving on the road with headlights on in the morning and afternoon. In the bone-shaking winter of Magh, the uprooted and hard-working people have suffered greatly. Agricultural production has been adversely affected. The boro seed bed is fading, the potato field is being destroyed.
The Meteorological Department has predicted light to moderate rain across the country including Dhaka from January 31 to February 2.
