Tangail burnt 11 houses

11 houses of 6 families were gutted in a fire in Darisaya village of Jhawail union in Gopalpur, Tangail. Four cows died in the fire.

The fire broke out at Ambia Khatun’s house at 6 pm on Sunday. Jhawail UP Chairman Mizanur Rahman Talukder said that there has been a loss of approximately 50 lakh rupees.

UP Chairman said, two houses of Bablu Mia, two houses of Sejnu Mia and two cows of the same village were destroyed in this accident. Nazmul’s two houses, Ambia Khatun’s one house, Tofazzal Hussain’s three houses and two cows, Safiqul Islam’s one house and all the furniture, goods and essential documents inside the house were burnt to ashes.

In charge of Gopalpur Fire Service. Rafiqul Islam said that after receiving the information, the fire service personnel reached the spot and brought the fire under control at 8 pm. It is initially believed that the fire may have started due to an electrical short circuit.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer (Additional Duty) said. Nazmul Hossain said, ‘After receiving the news, I arrived at the scene with the OC. The victims are listed. Tomorrow they will be supported by the upazila administration.
