Indian batsman Suryakumar Yadav has been named the ICC T20 Cricketer of the Year for the second time in a row. Earlier, he set this precedent as the first Indian cricketer in 2022.
The Indian star is up against three others in the race to become the T20 Cricketer of the Year. Sikandar Raja of Zimbabwe, Alpesh Ramjani of Uganda and Mark Chapman of New Zealand. No one has been able to match this Indian batsman.
Last year, Suryakumar grabbed everyone’s attention with his performance in T20. However, the two African cricketers shortlisted for the T20 Cricketer of the Year were also in discussion for their performances.
Ugandan cricketer Alpesh Ramjani has bowled 55 wickets in 30 matches. The spinner was instrumental in helping Uganda qualify for the World Cup for the first time.
Besides, Zimbabwean all-rounder Sikandar Raja was also excellent last year. He scored 515 runs in 11 innings at an average of 51.50 and a strike rate of 150.14. Also took 17 wickets.
