Special cards need to be introduced for regular taxpayers: FBCCI president

Federation of Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) President Mahbubul Alam Talukder said that special cards should be introduced for regular taxpayers to reduce harassment of taxpayers in getting other services. He also called for full implementation of the automation system to reduce the suffering of income tax payers.

Mahbubul Alam Talukder said these things at the Chittagong City Corporation, Chittagong District, Khagrachari, Rangamati, Bandarban and Cox’s Bazar Best Tax Payer Awards Ceremony at the World Trade Center in Chittagong on Tuesday afternoon.

This time Chittagong Income Tax Department honored 42 best taxpayers in four categories. Tadul Kanti Biswas of Chaktai and Abu Mohammad Ziauddin Khan of Lalkhan Bazar got the award in Chittagong City Corporation and Large Taxpayer Unit in the long time taxpayer category. Ali Hossain Akbar Ali of BSRM, Ameer Ali Hossain and Mohammad Nader Khan of Pedrolo Plaza are in the highest tax payer category.

Apart from this, Bilqish Ali Hossain of Nasirabad Housing Society is in the highest tax payer category for women. Under 40 years in the young category of PHP. Akhtar Parvez was selected as the best taxpayer.

Chittagong University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Shirin Akhtar handed over the honor to the taxpayers. Customs Excise and VAT Training Academy Director General Suresh Chandra Biswas and Chittagong Chamber President Omar Hajjaz were also present.
