According to Al Jazeera’s report, Lee was stabbed in South Korea’s southeastern city of Busan on Tuesday. He was answering various questions in front of reporters. At that time, an unknown person stabbed him on the left side of the neck. After that, the injured Lee was rushed to the hospital.
Al Jazeera also reported that Yonhap news agency did not provide details on Lee’s current condition after being hospitalized. They released a photo showing Lee Jae Myung lying on the floor with his eyes closed. Workers crowd around him and one holds a cloth around his neck. It was not clear how deep the injury was.
