Election campaign has gathered in Brahmanbaria-2 constituency. The father-in-law is at the center of discussion among the seven rivals. As there is no boat symbol in this constituency, Jatiya Party candidate Rezaul Islam Bhuiyan will be challenged by his father-in-law’s independent candidate Ziaul Haque Mridha. Another independent candidate Moin Uddin Moin is also in discussion.

Awami League withdrew the boat to give concession to Jatiya Party in Brahmanbaria-2 constituency. Plowing candidate Rezaul Islam Bhuiyan is in a favorable position. However, as his father-in-law’s former Member of Parliament Ziaul Haque is in the field as an independent candidate under the eagle symbol, there is a glimpse of a fierce fight. Some of the in-laws are reluctant to give concessions to anyone. Both rivals expressed optimism about the victory.

Rezaul Islam Bhuiyan, candidate of Jatiya Party in Brahmanbaria-2 constituency, said that there is no room for family problems here. There can be two candidates in one family.

On the other hand, Ziaul Haque Mridha, an independent candidate in Brahmanbaria-2 constituency, says that he was always on the side of the people. He believes that the people’s trust is unwavering on him.

Another independent candidate, Moin Uddin Moin, is trying to take advantage of the in-law conflict. He said, ‘I believe in the people. They will vote for whoever they deem worthy.’

Awami League’s workers-supporters and voters have had mixed reactions regarding the lack of a boat candidate and the rivalry between son-in-law and father-in-law. Voters are talking about choosing a worthy candidate in crowded polls.

Total voters in this constituency are 4 lakh 10 thousand 72 people.
