It was reported earlier this month that Alexei Navalny, a staunch critic of Vladimir Putin, had disappeared from prison. His lawyers said that he tried to contact him for 6 days but failed. This information was given by the American media CNN in a report about them.
The lawyers still did not know where Navalny was. He was eventually held at the IK-6 detention camp, known for its brutality against prisoners. Navalny was sentenced to 19 years in prison last August on charges including incitement to extremism. He is in prison since 2021.

Navalny has denied all the allegations against him. Navalny and his supporters have been claiming these allegations are false. In the meantime, the Russian administration has declared him and his party leaders as extremists.
