Minister of Information and Broadcasting and Joint General Secretary of Awami League. Hasan Mahmud said, today the country has changed. Last time we gave the slogan ‘Aar Gram Aar Sahi’. That is, I will make the villages like cities. Now villages have become like cities. Sheikh Hasina’s development has defied some stories.

He said, “Eid, Puja-Parban rice at 15 taka per kg, 30 kg rice at taka 200, free rice, fair price card, TCB card, old age allowance, widow allowance, husband abandoned allowance, disabled allowance, freedom fighter allowance, maternity allowance. The government is giving 18 types of allowances. Again, the government’s money reaches women through mobile phones. We used to hear these in stories when we were young.

Awami League nominated candidate for Chittagong-7 Constituency Information Minister Hashan Mahmud said these things in his speech as the chief guest in his election public meeting on Tuesday evening at Rangunia Club Ground in Roajarhat of Rangunia Upazila of Chittagong.

Rangunia Municipality, Mariamnagar, Chandraghona Kadmatoli and Swanirbhar Rangunia Union Awami League organized this public meeting. Rangunia Municipality Mayor. Under the chairmanship of Shahjahan Sikder, Municipal Awami League President Ariful Islam Chowdhury and General Secretary Md. Salim moderated the meeting.

He said, earlier there were carpeted roads in the city. Now all the roads in the village are paved. These changes did not happen due to any magic, they were made possible due to the magical leadership of People’s Leader Sheikh Hasina.

Showing the development of his constituency, Hashan Mahmud said, ’15 years ago there was no carpeted road in Rangunia except Kaptai road, now we have to see which road without carpeting inside Rangunia. RCC cast roads have been made where the water rises. All the roads are now lined with beautiful houses. Village by village television, dis antenna, wifi line, most of the houses are now running air conditioner.

He said, ‘You elected me MP three times. Even if you don’t want to apologize for what I have done in these 15 years, it is my responsibility to apologize. I decided at first that I will not be an MP of the party only, I don’t see any person from Rangunia who comes to me from any party, opinion or path. I have tried to benefit whatever party or opinion I have. My religion is not to harm anyone, to do good.’

Before this, during the public meeting in Pomra Union, Dr. Hasan told the voters, ‘The state has given you the right to vote, so voting is the right of every citizen. That right has to be exercised by going to the polling station. On the 7th, go to the polling station early in the morning to exercise your right. Vote for whoever you want. We want votes on boat brands. Voting will be held in a fair and festive environment. The voting will be conducted in the same way as everyone votes along the line. Insha’Allah, the boat’s collapse will be a victory in that vote.’
