Secondary schools will be closed if the temperature falls below 17 degrees

The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (MAUSI) has issued instructions to declare closure of educational institutions if the temperature drops below 17 degrees in the country. On Tuesday, the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (MAUSI) has issued instructions in this regard.

A notification signed by Assistant Director of Maushi SM Ziaul Haider Henry said, ‘Severe cold current is flowing in different districts of the country. Due to the ongoing cold current, the normal activities of students’ education are being disrupted. If the temperature falls below 17 degrees Celsius (as per the weather forecast of the concerned Meteorological Office), Regional Deputy Directors will decide to close secondary level educational institutions in consultation with the Education Officer of that district. The notification also mentioned that this decision will be effective until the temperature improves.

People’s life disrupted by cold, dense fog and frosty air in Konkan across the country. Meanwhile, the Met office is predicting rain for 3 days from tomorrow. Because of this, the severity of winter may increase. The people of the northern region suffer the most due to the severity of winter. Due to the outbreak of various cold-related diseases, the number of patients in the hospital is increasing. Most of the sick are elderly and children.

As the sky is cloudy, the sun is not seen until late afternoon. Meteorological office said light to moderate rain may occur in at least 40 districts including Jessore Kushtia Khulna, Pabna in the next 3 days.

A mild cold current is blowing in the northern districts of the country. Srimangal in Sylhet recorded the minimum temperature of 9.7 degrees Celsius on Tuesday. And 13.8 degrees Celsius in Dhaka.
