After detailed discussion, the Ministry of Expatriate Welfare and Foreign Employment will announce the final decision. Additional Secretary Khairul Alam informed this information.
Earlier, Saudi Ambassador to Dhaka Isa Al-Duhailan told Arab News on Friday (February 2) that Saudi Arabia has not recruited any medical personnel from Bangladesh for a long time. But now they have started recruiting Bangladeshi medical staff. Because they have already met Saudi criteria. The next group from Bangladesh that will go to Saudi Arabia will consist of nurses. This number of recruitment of Bangladeshi medical personnel in Saudi will increase in the near future.
Al-Duhailan said that a team from the Saudi Ministry of Health visited Bangladesh twice last year. They will continue to visit Bangladesh to recruit more medical personnel. An agreement was signed between the two countries in 2022 regarding the recruitment of Bangladeshi medical personnel in Saudi Arabia. After this, in November 2023, the first group of Bangladeshi medical workers went to Saudi Arabia.
