Mohammad Saeed Khokon, the candidate of Awami League nominated member of Parliament for Dhaka-6 constituency in the 12th National Parliament election, paid a courtesy call on Jatiya Party Co-Chairman Kazi Feroz Rashid. He met Kazi Feroz Rashid at Dhanmondi’s residence on Monday at 12 noon.

Kazi Feroze Member of Parliament for Dhaka-6 Constituency. He became the Jatiya Party’s candidate for this seat in the upcoming 12th National Assembly elections. But Kazi Firoz Rashid withdrew his nomination to the Election Commission on Sunday after Awami League nominated Mohammad Saeed Khokon.
At the end of the interview, Kazi Firoz Rashid said in response to a question from the journalists, “When Saeed Khokon submitted his nomination form in Dhaka-6 constituency, his victory was assured. He is a child of old Dhaka. Everyone in this area belongs to his father. Now just waiting for the polling day on January 7. He was by my side during the elections (2018). I will also stand by him with all the leaders and workers of our Jatiya Party at the field level.
In response to a question from journalists about Kazi Feroz Rashid, Mohammad Saeed Khokon said, ‘Kazi Feroz Rashid is my uncle. He was very close to my late father Mayor Mohammad Hanif. Once they did politics together, we have a long relationship. When I was the Mayor of Dhaka South City Corporation, he was the Member of Parliament of our area. We had a very close relationship with him. Both of us have tried to be by the side of the people of old Dhaka in happiness and sorrow, served.’
Saeed Khokon said, ‘Today is the first day of the election campaign, I have come to Kazi Feroz Rashid for prayers and support. He has promised to be with us. If I get elected, I will use his experience with Dhaka-6 seat, InshAllah.’
In response to another question of the journalists, Mohammad Saeed Khokon said, ‘As a candidate in Dhaka-6 constituency, there is no opportunity to look down on other candidates until victory is achieved. I will take seriously those who have contested this seat and I will work until my victory is assured. I will consider everyone as my strong opponent.’
