S Alam Super Refined Sugar Industries Limited of Chittagong, which was closed for five days due to a terrible fire, will go into production on Saturday. For this reason, the burnt sugar in the warehouse of the factory is being removed.

Factory authorities said that efforts are underway to go into production by tonight. However, the supply of manufactured sugar will start from March 14.

In this regard, Mohammad Hossain, manager of S Alam Super Refined Sugar Industries Limited, said, ‘Sugar production is likely to start from today. Work is underway for this purpose.’

The manager of S Alam Super Refined Sugar Industries Limited said, ‘The supply of refined sugar to S Alam started from last Thursday. So there will be no problem in production. Now the work of cleaning the waste is going on.’

According to factory authorities and fire service officials, S Alam Super Refined Sugar Industries Limited has five warehouses. Among them, warehouse number 1 caught fire. There were 1 lakh 20 thousand tons of raw sugar in that warehouse. However, four other warehouses were not damaged in the fire.

Meanwhile, the fire in the warehouse has been largely extinguished, but is not completely extinguished yet. Fire service personnel are still giving water.
