From last Thursday night to last Friday morning, Russia launched at least 100 powerful missiles targeting different regions of Ukraine. A day later, Ukraine launched a missile attack inside Russia. At least 40 Ukrainians were killed in the powerful attack carried out by Russian forces. Several educational institutions, hospital maternity units and civilian facilities were damaged in the Russian attack. Several cities were left without electricity.
Belgorod region of Russia is located next to Luhansk, Sami and Kharkiv regions of Ukraine. The Russian forces have attacked the Ukrainian areas adjacent to Belegorod many times before.
Belgorod is located 600 km away from Moscow, the capital of Russia. As the region is near Ukraine, Russia is using it as a base.
