Jatiya Party chief sponsor Roshan Ershad went to Ganabhaban to meet Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. He went to Ganobhaban today on Tuesday afternoon. Mamunur Rashid and his son Saad Ershad were with him at that time.

Roshan Ershad, the wife of late Hussain Muhammad Ershad, the founder of Jatiya Party, made it clear that although the Jatiya Party participated in the 12th National Assembly elections, she would not participate in the elections. It is said that he will talk to the Prime Minister about this at Ganobhaban.

Jatiya Party announced candidates for 287 seats last month. This time, Chairman GM Quader got the party’s nomination from Dhaka-17 and Rangpur-3, two constituencies of Jatiya Party founder late Hussain Muhammad Ershad.

After Ershad’s death, his son Rahgir Almahi Saad Ershad won the by-election in Rangpur-3 constituency in October 2019 and became a member of Parliament. It was assumed that this time too he will be nominated for this seat.

Mymensingh-4 seat was kept vacant for chief patron Roshan Ershad. But Roshan Ershad and Saad Ershad refused to vote for the preferred seat.
