The sun did not appear in the capital until 9:30 am on Monday. Cold wind has been blowing since morning. Along with the working people, the office goers have also suffered.

Anwar Hossain, an employee of a private company and a resident of the new market area of ​​the capital, said that the wind is causing more cold. Need to speed up to go to office. Drivers are also demanding higher CNG fares due to severe cold.

Alauddin, a rickshaw driver from Tejgaon area, said, ‘Izka is a bit colder. Colder air feels more cold. Driving a rickshaw is becoming more difficult for us.’

Arifur Rahman, a resident of Mohammadpur in the capital, said that he has to suffer to go to office due to the traffic jam on the road.

The minimum temperature recorded in the capital was 12.5 degrees Celsius early on Monday morning. The weather office said that the daytime temperature may drop further to 12.3 degrees.

Meteorologist of the Meteorological Office. Omar Farooq told Independent Digital that the districts of Rangpur and Rajshahi divisions are experiencing a mild winter. Besides, mild cold current is also flowing in Tangail, Madaripur, Jessore, Chuadanga and Kushtia.

Omar Farooq said that the temperature is low in the whole country today. The temperature will be low tomorrow on Tuesday as well. After that, the temperature will gradually increase again from next Wednesday.

Besides, the minimum temperature was recorded at 9.7 degrees Celsius in Chuadanga at 6 am on Monday. Severe cold is felt as the temperature drops down.

Chuadanga Meteorological Office observer Tahmina Nacharin said that the temperature in Chuadanga has dropped further and a mild cold wave has started. It has been foggy since midnight. This condition may remain for a few more days.

Earlier, the lowest temperature recorded in the last 24 hours was 8.1 degree Celsius in Naogaon. According to the Meteorological Department, mild cold current is flowing in Kishoreganj, Rajshahi, Pabna, Naogaon, Panchagarh and Kurigram and it may continue. Besides, the organization also said that the night temperature may decrease slightly in the North-North-Eastern part of the country.

The weather forecast for the next 24 hours from 9 am today, Monday, says that the sky may remain cloudy temporarily. However, the weather throughout the country will remain mainly dry. Moderate to dense fog is likely to prevail over the country from midnight to morning and may persist till afternoon at some places.

Apart from this, in Tuesday’s forecast, the Meteorological Office said that Dhaka, Khulna, Barisal and Chittagong divisions may receive light or drizzle rain.
