The court has postponed the date of submission of investigation report in the case of theft of National Film Award and other ornaments from the house of popular singer Nazmun Munira Nancy.
Wednesday was scheduled for submission of the investigation report of the case. But on this day Gulshan police station could not file the report. For this reason, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Rashidul Alam fixed this date for submitting the court report.
Shah Alam, Deputy Inspector (SI) of General Registration Branch of Gulshan police station, informed this information.
According to related sources, Tahmina and Ripa used to work as maids in Nancy’s house. Shakeel used to pick up Tahmina almost from home. On April 5, Tahmina left without informing anyone at home. Earlier on February 26 Ripao left home without telling anyone.
Meanwhile, on April 18, Nancy saw that her two gold chains, National Film Award, diamond locket and other precious ornaments were missing in the cupboard. The price of which is 3 lakh 21 thousand taka.
In this incident, Nancy’s brother Shahria Aman Sunny filed a case at Gulshan police station on April 27 accusing three people. Shakeel and Tahmina are currently on bail.
